Duterte wants immediate purchase of Covid-19 vaccine

President Duterte wants the government to immediately purchase a Covid-19 vaccine once it becomes available.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque assured that the government would provide free vaccines to disadvantaged individuals while those who can afford will pay for their own.

Roque also mentioned that PhilHealth could cover expenses for vaccines and diagnostics.

The government plans to prioritize vulnerable sectors such as senior citizens and individuals with health risks once a vaccine is developed.
