PRO 4A arrests alleged gun runner, seizes multiple firearms in Bacoor

On Monday, April 7, authorities arrested an alleged gun runner named alias Jay in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Molino 2, Bacoor City.

The joint operation led by PRO 4A resulted in the seizure of several high-powered firearms and ammunition, including four KG9 long firearms; two AR15 long firearms; one caliber .45 pistol; one caliber .22 pistol; six 9mm double-stack magazines; a lower frame of a caliber .45 pistol; three caliber .45 magazines; a box of caliber .45 live ammunition; and a zip-lock plastic bag containing 9mm live ammunition.

Alias Jay, a resident of Barangay Molino 2, Bacoor City, is now in custody facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and the gun ban provisions of the Omnibus Election Code.

PRO 4A Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas praised the operating units for their successful operation and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity during the election period.

Lucas emphasized that PRO 4A remains committed to removing illegal firearms from the streets, particularly with the upcoming elections and the ongoing implementation of the Comelec gun ban.
