Private sector may donate 500K AstraZeneca doses if COVAX delays

Private sector leader Joey Concepcion announced that his group is willing to donate up to 500,000 AstraZeneca vaccine doses to the government if second shots from COVAX are delayed.

Concepcion leads the Dose of Hope initiative which has already procured over half a million AstraZeneca doses through tripartite agreements with local governments and businesses.

Of the vaccines purchased by private entities, half will be given to employees first before donating the remaining doses to the government.
