Private sector to vaccinate workers before donating doses

Private companies will vaccinate their employees first before donating leftover doses to the government, according to Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion.

Concepcion said vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. has agreed to this arrangement, emphasizing that private sector vaccination is crucial for ensuring factories continue operating and workers remain safe.

The country has secured over 6 million doses of various Covid-19 vaccines through the A Dose of Hope program, with participation from more than 1,000 companies.

Concepcion noted that flexibility should be given to private firms as their employees belong to different priority groups under the government's vaccination plan.
