DOTr urges firms to hire PUVs as employee shuttles

On Tuesday, August 4, the DOTr urged private sector employers to hire public utility vehicles (PUVs) such as buses and jeepneys as shuttle services for their employees affected by the suspension of public transportation under MECQ.

The LTFRB also encouraged private companies to lease PUVs to transport workers during the MECQ period from August 4 to 18, noting that no special permit is required for this arrangement.
