PRC provides medical aid to over 6,300 during Holy Week

As of Sunday afternoon on April 20, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has provided medical assistance to 6,397 individuals across various locations nationwide during Holy Week operations.

The majority of those assisted, 5,928 people, received vital signs monitoring.

At least 434 patients experienced minor cases such as abrasions and chest pain, while sixteen faced major issues including asthma attacks and multiple lacerations.

Nineteen patients were transported to hospitals for conditions ranging from body malaise to hyperventilation.

The PRC mobilized 1,840 volunteers and 313 staff at 375 first aid stations in locations like bus terminals, seaports, airports, mountains, beaches, churches, parks, schools, highways, and arenas.

A total of 221 vehicles including ambulances, service boats, and rescue boats were deployed to support the operations.
