Power outage at NAIA Terminal 3 disrupts 31 flights

A power outage at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Friday night disrupted 31 flights.

The outage began around 11 p.m. and was restored by 6 a.m. Saturday, affecting both domestic and international flights.

MIAA confirmed that 21 departure and nine arrival flights were impacted, with Cebu Pacific canceling three additional flights.

Affected passengers received assistance from their airlines for refunds or rebooking, while some were accommodated in hotels.

MIAA apologized and is conducting a joint probe with Meralco to determine the cause of the outage.
