Policemen trained for May and Oct elections

Policemen in Central Luzon have completed specialized training to prepare for the May 12 midterm elections and the Oct. 13 BARMM parliament elections.

The two-day training, held at Camp Olivas on Monday and Tuesday, included lectures by a Comelec resource speaker covering election laws, procedures, and vote-counting machine operation.

Participants engaged in practical exercises simulating voting day scenarios to enhance their readiness for election day.

Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo of the Police Regional Office 3 emphasized the importance of this training in safeguarding the ballot's sanctity, particularly in BARMM.

Selected PRO-3 personnel will be deployed to BARMM to serve as electoral board members in areas with teacher shortages or heightened security risks.

Fajardo highlighted that these deployments support Comelec's mandate to ensure capable and neutral election facilitators are available in vulnerable regions.
