5 arrested, PHP8M worth of drugs seized in weekend ops

Five individuals were apprehended and PHP8 million worth of illegal drugs seized during separate operations over the weekend in Metro Manila and Pampanga.

In Metro Manila, a 40-year-old suspect was arrested in Barangay 513, Sampaloc, with police confiscating 44 kilograms of dried marijuana valued at PHP5.28 million.

In Pampanga, four suspects including a high-value individual were detained in Barangay Cabetican, Bacolor; authorities seized 402 grams of shabu worth PHP2.73 million along with firearms and ammunition.

Both operations highlight the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat illegal drugs, with police emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in reporting suspicious activities.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and Police Regional Office-3 (Central Luzon) assured continued commitment to enforcing drug laws and maintaining public safety.
