PNP seizes P2.3M worth of shabu in separate raids

On Monday, June 24, 2024, Philippine National Police (PNP) - Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) seized P1.3 million worth of suspected crystal methamphetamine from a 35-year-old man in Camarines Sur.

The same day, police arrested a 29-year-old man identified as 'Abel' who yielded more than P1 million worth of suspected shabu in Taguig City during a buy-bust operation.

Antonio Salamanque was apprehended around 2:50 a.m. in Camarines Sur with approximately 200 grams of suspected crystal meth, while Abel was arrested at 4:45 a.m. in Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig City.

Both suspects are now in custody; Salamanque is held by the Libmanan Municipal Police Station and Abel by the Taguig City Police.

The confiscated drugs from both operations will be sent to the Forensic Unit at Camp Simeon Ola for further analysis.
