PRO-5 arrests 40 drug suspects, seizes PHP3M worth of shabu

The Police Regional Office-Bicol (PRO-5) arrested 40 drug suspects and confiscated nearly PHP3 million worth of illegal drugs during a weeklong anti-drug operation from November 4 to 10.

Albay had the highest value of seized drugs at PHP1.25 million, followed by Masbate with PHP768,400, Camarines Sur with PHP510,326.40, and Camarines Norte with PHP339,320.

Naga City recorded PHP40,460 worth of seized drugs, while Sorsogon had only PHP5,100; no drugs were confiscated in Catanduanes.

During the operation, authorities seized 429.059 grams of shabu across six provinces and a city through 26 anti-drug operations.

PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon has ordered further operations to identify and target the main suppliers of illegal drugs in the region.
