Police Col Rommel Estolano denies bribery, misconduct allegations

Police Colonel Rommel Estolano has denied allegations of bribery and misconduct following the August 22 press briefing by the National Police Commission (Napolcom).

Estolano, in an official statement released on August 25, refuted claims that he received millions of pesos to influence prosecutors and provide special treatment to a businessman.

He also rejected accusations that he accepted money to weaken evidence before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office, stating that such allegations are baseless.

Estolano questioned the legality of the businessman's arrest on June 13, 2025, noting it was based on an outdated warrant and that bail had already been posted.

The police official alleged that complaints against him were retaliation after he filed charges of misfeasance in office against his accusers.

Estolano condemned personal attacks on his family, including allegations about his daughters being labeled as 'Hot Babes' when they visited him at the HPG-SOD compound.', 'He accused his detractors of using Napolcom to hide their own legal issues.
