Police arrest six HVTs, recover PHP6.4M worth of shabu in Bulacan, Laguna, Pampanga, Bataan

A high-value target in the illegal drug trade was among six individuals arrested early this week in Bulacan during two separate buy-bust operations, with another 'high-value' suspect identified as 'Jr' apprehended on Thursday, July 3, in Siniloan town, Laguna province.

The arrests continued over the weekend when police units across Central Luzon seized PHP1.3 million worth of suspected shabu from four high-value targets (HVTs) in Pampanga, Bulacan, and Bataan.

In Pampanga, three individuals identified as 'Edwin,' 'Maine,' and 'Bentaks' were arrested during a buy-bust operation yielding 75 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP510,000 in Barangay San Pedro Cutud.

Just minutes earlier in Bulacan, another HVT-alias 'Jasper'-was apprehended with 50 grams of shabu worth approximately PHP340,000 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Borol 1st.

Hours later in Bataan, alias 'Buboy' was arrested by a joint team from the Orani Municipal Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III with 80 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately PHP544,000.

Police recovered a total of 139 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP945,200 along with drug-related items from the Bulacan operations on July 1 and 2, while 'Jr' in Laguna was found to be in possession of 810 grams of suspected shabu worth more than P5.5 million.

Regional Director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. praised these coordinated efforts across multiple provinces and emphasized the ongoing crackdown on illegal narcotics in Central Luzon.
