Police arrest 'Beng', seize PHP3.4M shabu in Camarines Sur, other arrests net PHP12M worth of shabu

Police arrested a high-value drug suspect named 'Beng' during a buy-bust operation in Camarines Sur on Thursday, while three more suspects were apprehended in separate operations in Tarlac, Cebu, and Pangasinan on Friday.

The arrest of Beng led to the seizure of PHP3.4 million worth of suspected shabu amounting to 500 grams, while arrests in Tarlac resulted in the confiscation of PHP7.4 million worth of suspected shabu from suspect Jervey and PHP1.4 million worth of suspected shabu from suspects Jack and Alvin in Cebu.

On Saturday, police arrested a 30-year-old drug pusher named 'Muni' in Pili, Camarines Sur during an anti-drug operation, seizing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of more than PHP4 million.

In Pangasinan, a suspect named 'Nico' was arrested with approximately 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP680,000; meanwhile, police seized an estimated PHP2.7 million worth of suspected shabu in Iligan City and apprehended a suspect identified only as 'Moks'. Additionally, on Friday, August 1, P2 million worth of shabu was confiscated from Anton Unoton Ambalgan during an entrapment operation in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

According to Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr., director of the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5), Beng is a drug courier involved in trafficking large quantities of illegal drugs from Metro Manila to the Bicol Region.
