POC chief Tolentino observes Track Asia Cup in Thailand for March 2026 ACC prep

Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham 'Bambol' Tolentino is observing the 2025 Track Asia Cup in Suphan Buri, Thailand, as part of preparations for the upcoming Asian Cycling Confederation Track Championships set for March 2026 at the new Tagaytay CT Velodrome.

Tolentino stressed that this will be the first time in 30 years that the Philippines hosts an Asian-level track event and emphasized the importance of ensuring its success.

During his visit, Tolentino was welcomed by Thailand's cycling association president at the opening ceremony of the Suphan Buri Velodrome, a facility with extensive hosting experience for similar competitions.

Tolentino is also assessing the Suphan Buri Velodrome to understand how it can serve as a model for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games track events in December.

The Track Asia Cup features 28 national and club teams, providing an opportunity to gauge expectations for the ACC championships where cyclists from over 40 countries are expected to participate.
