POC gifts houses to Paris Olympics medalists Yulo, Petecio, Villegas

Paris Olympics medalists Carlos Yulo, Nesthy Petecio, and Aira Villegas are receiving property rewards for their achievements.

The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) gifted the athletes houses and lots in Tagaytay City on Tuesday, with two-story homes valued at around P15 million each for Yulo, who won two gold medals, and bungalows for Petecio and Villegas, both bronze medalists.

Yulo's reward includes two homes on a 500-square meter lot, while Petecio and Villegas received brand new bungalows on separate 200-square meter lots with basic amenities.

POC President Abraham 'Bambol' Tolentino emphasized that these rewards are part of a tradition to honor Olympic achievements and highlight the dedication and sacrifices made by the athletes over the years.

Tagaytay City has become home to several Olympians, including Hidilyn Diaz, who received her reward after winning gold in Tokyo 2021.
