POC president gives homes to Yulo, Petecio, Villegas

Paris Olympics gymnast Carlos Yulo, bronze medalist boxer Nesthy Petecio, and Aira Villegas have received new homes in Tagaytay City from the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham 'Bambol' Tolentino.

Yulo, who won gold medals in men's floor exercise and vault, was given a two-story home on a 500-square meter lot as a belated birthday gift, while Petecio received her second Tagaytay property after winning a silver medal in Tokyo 2021.

Villegas, who won a bronze medal, received a similar two-story house on a 200-square meter lot in the same subdivision, with each home and lot worth around P15 million according to POC secretary-general Atty. Wharton Chan.

Petecio plans to reside in her new home together with her family while renting out her first house.

Yulo expressed gratitude for the support from the POC during his Olympic preparations in Paris, noting it was a belated birthday gift on his 25th birthday.

Villegas intends to stay at her new Tagaytay City home during breaks from training in Baguio City and when she is unable to return to her native Tacloban.
