PNP reports over 200 new Covid-19 infections

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported 234 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday, bringing the total active cases to 2,245.

Of these, about 220 are new infections and 14 are reinfections.

There have been a total of 14,676 police personnel infected with Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.

The number of recoveries increased by 146 to reach 12,394 while the death toll remains at 37.

Amid rising cases within PNP, Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said they would intensify contingency measures and seek additional isolation sites for infected personnel.
