PNP PIO chief promoted, Marbil welcomes successor

Philippine National Police (PNP) Public Information Office Chief Col. Randulf Tuaño has been promoted to brigadier general, effective May 28.

Eleven police senior officers, including Tuaño, were promoted one rank higher as part of a recent wave of promotions within the PNP.

The rank-donning ceremony for these officers was held at Camp Crame on Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil welcomed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s announcement that a senior official has been chosen to succeed him.

Marbil expressed optimism about the continuity and progress of internal reforms within the PNP under the new leadership.

Gen. Marbil's term as PNP chief is set to end on June 7, paving the way for the incoming leader.
