PNP gets new lead in search for Harry Roque

The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced on Thursday that they have a new lead in their search for Harry Roque, who went into hiding after being held in contempt by the House of Representatives.

Lt. Col. Imelda Reyes confirmed that authorities are validating information obtained from CCTV footage and received additional details on Roque's possible location without disclosing specifics to avoid hampering efforts.

The PNP warned anyone sheltering Roque of potential legal consequences for obstructing justice, while calling on him to respect the legal process.

PNP chief Police General Rommel Marbil said special tracker teams have been mobilized to search for Roque, and will provide security during his arrest by House authorities.

On Thursday, the PNP stated there was no indication that the 57-year-old Roque had left the country, maintaining that he is still within Philippine borders.
