PLDT to build 100 MW data center in Cavite, aiming for national capacity of 500 MW

PLDT Inc., led by Chairman Manuel Pangilinan, plans to build its largest data center with a capacity of 100 MW in General Trias, Cavite, as part of a broader strategy to expand national data center capacity up to 500 MW.

During the unveiling of VITRO Sta. Rosa in Laguna on Wednesday, April 23, Pangilinan announced PLDT's intention to match Malaysia’s current data center capacity and position the Philippines as a leading hub for digital innovation.

VITRO Sta. Rosa, the company's largest and eleventh data center with a capacity of 50 MW, is designed for energy efficiency and equipped to support artificial intelligence capabilities.

Construction on the new data center in General Trias will begin in 2026 and be completed by 2028, expanding in phases starting from 20 MW.

PLDT's VITRO Sta. Rosa is situated on a five-hectare lot in Laguna, supporting enterprise and hyperscale demand as the company continues to prioritize further expansion.
