Pilipinas United 3x3 League kicks off with Filipino and intl teams

The inaugural Pilipinas United 3x3 League (PUL) kicks off this weekend at Ayala Malls Manila Bay with top Filipino and international teams participating.

Kacey dela Rosa, a back-to-back UAAP Most Valuable Player from Ateneo, will lead the Gilas Pilipinas women's U23 squad against local clubs like Uratex Dream and Pilipinas Aguilas.

The tournament includes foreign teams such as Maurice Lacroix of Japan and Harimau Black and Yellow of Malaysia, serving as part of Gilas' preparation for the 2025 FIBA U23 3x3 World Cup in China.

Joining dela Rosa are Kristine Cayabyab, Cheska Apag, and Elaine Etang, who aim to secure a $3,000 cash prize in this historic tournament backed by Smart and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

In the men's division, teams like Taho Story A led by David Licauco and Half Court Group compete against international squads for a chance at a $5,000 prize and a ticket to FIBA 3x3 Kaohsiung Challenger in October.
