Philippines wins more ouk chaktrang medals at SEA Games

Philippines added two more medals to its SEA Games 2023 tally in ouk chaktrang chess on May 9.

Shania Mae Mendoza won silver after losing to Vietnam's Thi Hong Nuang Doan, while Venice Vicente secured bronze following a semifinal loss to Mendoza.

Earlier, the Philippines had already won one silver and one bronze medal in ouk chaktrang from matches held on May 6, with Janelle Mae Frayna and Shania Mae Mendoza clinching silver in the women’s double category and Darwin Laylo leading the men's team to a bronze.
