Philippines U16 wins Lion City Cup, defeating Cambodia 3-1

The Philippines' U16 football team won its first international championship in the 29th Lion City Cup on Sunday.

The squad secured a dominant 3-1 victory over Cambodia, with Aarran Long scoring two goals and ending as the top scorer with three goals total.

Prior to the final match, the Philippines defeated Singapore (2-0) and drew against Hong Kong (1-1), accumulating seven points to clinch first place in the standings.

Philippine Football Federation President John Gutierrez praised the team's unity and achievement, calling it a milestone for the country's football program.

The PFF emphasized that this victory will fuel efforts to develop youth football from an early age and discover more talented players across regional associations.
