Philippine hosts inaugural FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup Nov 21-Dec 7

The Philippine women's national futsal team will host the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup from November 21 to December 7, with expectations of inspiring more young athletes to take up the sport.

FIFA and the Philippine Football Federation unveiled the official branding for the tournament on Tuesday, March 18, at Whitespace Manila in Makati City, featuring a logo that blends Filipino identity with futsal's vibrancy.

The emblem 'Master The Speed' highlights the significance of the event, which will take place simultaneously at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City and Victorias City Coliseum in Negros Occidental, with 16 teams competing for the championship title.

Philippine Football Federation president John Gutierrez expressed pride in bringing global attention to women's futsal and emphasized the importance of inspiring girls and women to pursue careers in sports.

The Philippine women's futsal team also competes in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women's Futsal Asian Cup 2025 from May 6-17 in China, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the World Cup.

Victorias City Coliseum is currently undergoing renovations to meet FIFA standards, while preparations are underway to showcase Filipino hospitality during both events.
