Philippines to donate excess COVID-19 vaccines to Myanmar, Papua New Guinea

The Philippine government is coordinating with Myanmar and Papua New Guinea to finalize arrangements for donating excess COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said negotiations have begun and the donation will push through, aligning with WHO's equity in distributing vaccines.

Vergeire noted that fewer Filipinos are getting vaccinated, leaving millions of doses in the government's stockpile.
