BINI wins Top Local Artist of the Year at The Official Philippines Chart launch

P-pop girl group BINI won the Top Local Artist of the Year award at the launch of The Official Philippines Chart on Wednesday, February 19.

The event, supported by PRM and IFPI, recognized BINI's significant impact in 2024 as a formidable force in pop culture, with the group performing their latest release 'Blink Twice' for an intimate crowd.

BINI claimed the top spot on the chart based on streaming performance across major platforms, with hits like 'Pantropiko,' 'Salamin, Salamin,' and 'Cherry on Top', while Ben&Ben secured the third spot in the Top 10 Artists of 2024 chart.

The list also featured other local artists such as Hev Abi, Cup of Joe, Arthur Nery, and TJ Monterde whose song 'Palagi' was named the Top Local Song of the Year.

BINI's leader Jhoanna expressed pride in the growing OPM scene, noting that concerts by various artists are often sold out for multiple days across major arenas in the Philippines.
