DOH recommends 7th or 8th day Covid-19 tests for travelers

DOH recommends to IATF that travelers entering the Philippines be tested for Covid-19 on the seventh or eighth day of their quarantine.

Based on evidence showing high viral load during these days, testing at this stage would allow for more accurate results and immediate isolation of those who test positive.

Currently, returning OFWs and other travelers are tested on the fifth day of their quarantine upon arrival.
