Philippines extends travel ban on India, nine other nations until Aug. 15

The Philippines has extended its travel ban on inbound travelers from India and nine other countries until August 15.

President Duterte approved the extension of restrictions based on the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

The restricted countries include India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Roque also released a list of green countries considered low risk for COVID-19, including Albania, Kosovo, Hong Kong, Laos, Hungary, New Zealand, and China.

Fully vaccinated Filipino travelers from these green-listed areas will be required to undergo a seven-day facility quarantine with a fifth day COVID-19 test.
