Philippines 95% ready for FIBA World Cup

The Philippines is '95 percent ready' for hosting the FIBA World Cup 2023 with just 10 days left until the event begins.

Deputy Event Director Erika Dy stated that while preparations are nearly complete, the final five percent of work is crucial and likened it to the last two minutes of a basketball game.

Dy also mentioned that the country has entered 'plug and play mode' and is setting up to meet FIBA standards.

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Al Panlilio noted additional installations such as new floors, backboards, scoreboards, and competition lights will be completed.
