Philippine women's football team beats UAE 4-1

The Philippine women's national football team defeated the United Arab Emirates 4-1 in a friendly match held at the UAE Football Association Headquarters on Saturday morning (Manila time).

Hali Long, Chandler McDaniel, Meryll Serrano, and Olivia McDaniel scored for the Filipinas, with Long opening the scoring after just eight minutes.

Head coach Mark Torcaso praised his team's performance, noting that they successfully implemented their playing style in this first official international match of the year.

Torcaso made several lineup changes in the second half, giving debuts to Pagie McSwigan and Aliana Weibel from their respective universities.

The Filipinas will face UAE again on April 8 as part of their preparation for upcoming tournaments such as the MSIG Serenity Cup, Asian Cup qualifiers, and Southeast Asian Games.
