Philippine women's football team aims for back-to-back win vs Cambodia after 3-0 victory over Saudi Arabia

The Philippine women's national football team secured a convincing 3-0 victory against Saudi Arabia on Sunday, June 29, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and now aims for another win against host nation Cambodia on Wednesday.

Coach Mark Torcaso praised his squad for being “very ready” and securing full three points despite facing a well-organized opponent, emphasizing the importance of maintaining this momentum in their next match.

Goals from Jaclyn Sawicki (16th minute), Meryll Serrano (55th minute), and Alexa Pino (81st minute) ensured the Filipinas' dominance over Saudi Arabia in Group G after Matchday 1, setting them up for a strong challenge against Cambodia's national team.

The Filipinas will face host nation Cambodia at the National Sports Complex of Cambodia on Wednesday night as they aim to build upon their historic World Cup debut in 2023 and qualify for the AFC Women's Asian Cup hosted by Australia.
