Phil rep Alexie Brooks wins Miss Eco International 2025

Philippine representative Alexie Brooks was crowned Miss Eco International 2025 during the final competition held in Alexandria, Egypt on Black Saturday (early hours of Easter Sunday Manila time), greeting Filipinos with good news just days before her late grandmother's birthday.

Donning an Eco Wear outfit inspired by the West Philippine Sea and designed by Tata Pinuela, Alexie highlighted pollution threats to marine biodiversity and urged people to protect this ecological treasure. She also honored her late Lola Basing during her victory speech.

Alexie won Best in National Costume during the evening's pre-final rounds with a Philippine Eagle-inspired costume designed by Tata Blas Pinuela that symbolizes Filipino resilience and freedom, fast-tracking her to the semi-finals before being named Miss Eco International 2025 after beating finalists from Ukraine, Indonesia, United Kingdom, and the United States.

During the final question-and-answer portion, she discussed the urgent need for action on climate change, emphasizing that all nations must work together to save the planet.

In addition to her pageant achievements, Alexie has competed at the Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam and won the University Athletic Association of the Philippines' Most Valuable Player award in 2022.
