PHP36.4M shabu confiscated in Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental buy-bust ops

Authorities in Cebu, Bohol, and Negros Oriental confiscated suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP36.4 million during pre-Christmas buy-bust operations.

In Cebu City, a 38-year-old woman was arrested on December 23 for possessing 3,010 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP20.4 million.

On Christmas Day in Lapu-Lapu City, two suspects—alias Jesson and his nephew alias John—were arrested during a buy-bust operation with authorities seizing around one kilo of shabu worth PHP6.8 million.

In Tagbilaran City, Bohol, a 22-year-old boatman was arrested on the same day with 1,200 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP8.1 million during 'Oplan Limpyo Tagbilaran'.

Early Saturday in Dumaguete City, anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested a suspect and seized more than PHP1 million worth of suspected shabu.

The suspects are being investigated to determine their drug supply sources and face charges under Republic Act 9165.

Evidence seized in all operations has been submitted for chemical analysis by the Philippine National Police's Forensic Unit.
