Philippine gov't media learn emergency broadcasting from Australia

Government media members from the Philippines are attending a study tour in Australia to learn about effective emergency broadcasting techniques.

The Philippine News Agency, Philippine Information Agency, Philippine Broadcasting Service, People’s Television Network, and Radio Television Malacañang are participating in the program which began on November 12 and ends on November 19.

Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) staff shared knowledge and best practices for disaster coverage, emphasizing the importance of relationships with government emergency agencies and information providers.
