PAGCOR: Phil gaming industry hits P214.75B in H1, up 26%

The Philippine gaming industry recorded over P200 billion in total revenues during the first half of 2025, with electronic games contributing significantly to this growth.

According to data from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), gross gaming revenues reached P214.75 billion, marking a 26% increase compared to the same period last year.

Revenues rose further by 14 percent in July to PHP59 billion, driven primarily by licensed digital platforms and land-based casinos.

Alejandro Tengco, PAGCOR chairman, emphasized the importance of balancing industry expansion with responsible gaming practices and highlighted that strong revenue streams allowed for increased contributions to nation-building (CnB) by 20 percent.

PAGCOR also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ad Standards Council (ASC) to enhance monitoring of gambling advertisements across all platforms and mandated the removal of ads in public spaces and primetime TV by August 15th.
