Philippine auto sales grow 6.8% to 117,074 units Q1 2025

The automotive industry in the Philippines experienced a 6.8 percent growth in sales during the first quarter of 2025.

Total vehicle sales reached 117,074 units from January to March, an increase from 109,606 units in the same period last year.

Commercial vehicles drove industry growth with a 13.9 percent rise in sales to 92,742 units, while passenger car sales fell by 13.7 percent to 24,332 units.

In March alone, vehicle sales rose by 7.6 percent year-on-year to 40,306 units, with commercial vehicles leading the surge at 16.5 percent and passenger cars declining by 16.6 percent.

Electric vehicle (EV) sales for Q1 2025 reached 5,311 units or 5.73 percent of total industry sales, with Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and Ford being the top brands in the market.
