PhilHealth warns against suspicious links after data breach

PhilHealth is warning its members to be cautious of suspicious links and individuals offering document management services for a fee.

Emmanuel Ledesma Jr., PhilHealth chief, stated that managing documents online or procuring them should be free and unauthorized third parties can compromise personal information.

This warning comes after around 730 GB of data in the PhilHealth database was hacked by ransomware group Medusa on September 22.

To help members check if their data was compromised, a website has been launched by the Department of Information and Communications Technology and the National Privacy Commission.
