BSP to maintain accommodative stance for tough PH recovery

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will maintain its accommodative policy stance for as long as necessary due to the challenging economic recovery from COVID-19.

Governor Benjamin Diokno stated that the country's fiscal metrics have strengthened before the pandemic, but the road to recovery remains difficult.

The BSP aims to sustain economic recovery and support a whole-of-government approach while monitoring domestic and international developments for their impact on inflation, financial stability, and growth.
