DOH: PH logs 249 new recoveries, active cases rise to 32,775

The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Thursday that the Philippines logged 249 new coronavirus disease recoveries, bringing the country's recovery tally to 487,927 or 91.8 percent of total infections.

Active cases increased to 32,775 with 1,590 new cases recorded; mild symptoms account for 88.9% of active cases, asymptomatic cases make up 5.9%, critical cases are 2.4%, severe cases are 2.3%, and moderate cases are 0.53%.

The DOH also reported 55 new deaths, raising the total fatalities to 10,997 or 2.07% of all individuals infected.

Healthcare facilities dedicated for Covid-19 patients have 60 percent of ICU beds, 65 percent of isolation beds, 76 percent of ward beds, and 80 percent of ventilators available.
