PGH: Nearly 400 health workers test positive for COVID-19

As of Monday, January 10, almost 400 healthcare workers at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) have tested positive for COVID-19.

The hospital reported an additional 86 cases on Sunday night, bringing the total to nearly 400 infected staff members.

Dr. Jonas del Rosario, PGH's spokesperson, noted that three to four staff get exposed for every confirmed case of a healthcare worker, necessitating augmentation in key areas.

Del Rosario also mentioned that some departments are already affected, with the hospital’s emergency room being closed for five days due to staffing shortages.
