194K doses of Moderna vaccine to arrive in May

Some 194,000 doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in the Philippines in May.

This is part of a total order of 20 million doses, with 13M procured by the government and 7M by the private sector.

The National Immunization Technical Advisory Group will prioritize distribution regardless of procurement source.

Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez said Pfizer and Moderna have indicated they will start delivering vaccines to the Philippines soon after meeting domestic demand in May.
