PEZA, Tesda sign MoU on workforce skills alignment

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) to address workforce skills alignment with industry needs.

PEZA Director General Tereso Panga and Tesda Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez led the signing ceremony on January 22 in Pasay City.

The collaboration aims to enhance workers' global competitiveness by aligning skills training with current industry demands, fostering economic growth and attracting investments.

A key focus of the partnership is integrating overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) into the local labor market through customized training modules and job matching systems.

PEZA and Tesda will also develop job matching programs and industry immersion initiatives for Tesda trainers to better prepare workers for employment in economic zones.
