Petro Gazz coach Koji Tsuzurabara leaves after championships, returns to Japan

Japanese coach Koji Tsuzurabara has left Petro Gazz Angels after more than three months with the team, during which he led them to their first-ever PVL All-Filipino championship.

Petro Gazz expressed deep gratitude and respect for Tsuzurabara's contributions on Friday through a heartfelt message on Facebook, wishing him all the best as he returns home to Japan to be with his family and pursue new opportunities in volleyball.

Tsuzurabara's tenure with Petro Gazz lasted just over a year, during which he also guided the team to success in the 2024 PNVF Champions League and a bronze medal in the All-Filipino Conference.

The team highlighted Tsuzurabara’s role not only as a coach but also as a mentor and inspiration, noting his leadership in securing Petro Gazz's historic victory over Creamline for the PVL All-Filipino title.

Petro Gazz has yet to announce Tsuzurabara's replacement amid ongoing competition in the PVL on Tour.
