Perpetual Help secures first NGBL quarterfinal berth

University of Perpetual Help System DALTA secured the first quarterfinal berth in the Under-19 Next Generation Basketball League (NGBL) with a decisive victory over Jose Rizal University by a score of 105-59 on Saturday. Jan Daniel Pagulayan was the standout player for the Junior Altas, contributing 19 points along with five assists, three rebounds and two steals in their fifth consecutive win in Group A.

The game highlighted Perpetual's strong defensive strategy which forced 26 turnovers by JRU while they recorded a remarkable 30 assists, 20 steals and seven blocks. AJ Lacusong and CJ Satparam led the Light Bombers with 12 and 10 points respectively but still suffered their third loss in Group A.

In another match, San Beda University maintained its second place standing after defeating Colegio de San Juan De Letran by a score of 95-87. Collins Akowe and Sean Salvador also led their respective teams to victories against Mapua University and Nazareth School of National University.
