PDEA, PNP seize PHP2.4B worth of shabu in recent raids

On Friday, March 14, joint operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) seized PHP340 million worth of suspected 'shabu' in Muntinlupa City.

The same day, PDEA-9 agents conducted separate operations that led to the seizure of an additional P1.6 million worth of shabu from two dealers in Dipolog and Zamboanga cities.

On Saturday, March 15, the Rizal Police Provincial Office arrested a 17-year-old boy and five other drug suspects across the province in four separate buy-bust operations, seizing a total of P1.9 million worth of shabu.

In Tanay, two suspects were apprehended with P1.36 million worth of suspected shabu, while another suspect was arrested in Baras with P170,000 worth of the substance.

Additionally, on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning, March 16, two more operations led to the arrest of suspects in Taytay and Binangonan, seizing a total of P385,152 worth of suspected shabu.

All arrested individuals are charged under Sections 5 (Sale) and 11 (Possession) of Republic Act 9165 for selling and possessing dangerous drugs.
