PDEA intercepts P7M worth of ecstasy from Belgium

On Wednesday, April 2, a shipment of party drugs worth P7,634,700 was intercepted at the Port of Clark in Pampanga by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The shipment, which originated from Belgium and contained 4,491 tablets of ecstasy, arrived on March 29.

Based on intelligence provided by PDEA Intelligence Service, a successful interdiction operation was conducted by PDEA Regional Office 3 with assistance from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark.

Field tests confirmed the presence of ecstasy in the package during the examination process.

The seized drugs will undergo forensic examination at PDEA RO3 laboratory.

Other agencies such as the Philippine National Police and the National Bureau of Investigation also supported the operation.
