PCU-D shocks Olivarez in last-second thriller

Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas (PCU-D) secured a thrilling 78-76 victory over top-seeded Olivarez College in the UCAL-PGFlex Linoleum Cup on Thursday, April 3, advancing to the best-of-three title series.

Alvin Reyes delivered a crucial triple with only one second left on the clock, propelling PCU-D past their rivals and into contention for their first championship since joining the league in Season 2.

The Dolphins can clinch the title with another win on Monday, April 7; should it be necessary, Game 3 will take place on April 10 at Paco Arena in Manila.

Despite an early deficit, PCU-D mounted a comeback from a 76-71 score to close out the game with a decisive 7-0 run.

Joshua Diño struggled offensively but teammates John Carl Catayong and Ram Mesqueriola stepped up, contributing 21 and 14 points respectively, while Reyes added 12 points.
