PCG stresses WPS awareness, calls for school lessons

Tarriela highlighted the need for increased outreach and education to ensure future leaders understand the significance of the issue, noting the 89% awareness among Filipinos about the West Philippine Sea.

Political analyst Ronald Llamas noted that younger generations are becoming increasingly concerned about the WPS, which could shape the 028 presidential election.

Groups have called on the government to include lessons about the West Philippine Sea in school curricula to combat false narratives and disinformation.
