PCG appoints first female spox Captain Noemie Cayabyab

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) appointed Captain Noemie Guirao-Cayabyab as its first female spokesperson on Easter Sunday, April 20.

Cayabyab will lead communications for the PCG and represent the organization in national and global discussions to amplify organizational efforts towards a more diverse and empowered future.

Her appointment underscores the PCG's commitment to gender equality and empowering women in leadership roles.

Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan, PCG Commandant, highlighted Cayabyab's dedication and professional achievements as qualities that make her a natural fit for this role.

Prior to her new position, Cayabyab served as Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Education and Training and held key positions in various units within the PCG.
